The service

Machiport helps manufacturers prepare and maintain machinery technical documentation. It does not certify machines, does not act as a notified body and does not give legal advice. The manufacturer remains solely responsible for conformity assessment, the EU declaration of conformity and the CE marking.

Accounts and roles

You are responsible for the people you invite and the roles you give them. Signing authority is only granted to roles you mark as such.

Suggestions

Suggestions (rule-based or AI-assisted) are drafts with sources. They have no effect until a person with the right role accepts them. You must check every suggestion against the sources and the law.

Prices and payment

Prices on the pricing page exclude VAT. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled before the next period. [Refund policy].

Availability and liability

Your data

You own your content. You can export it at any time. On termination we delete it after [period] unless you erase it earlier.

Continuity of frozen dossiers [to be reviewed by a lawyer]

When a subscription ends, the organisation becomes a read-only archive: frozen versions, declarations and instructions stay readable and downloadable, public declaration links keep working, but no new work can be done until a new subscription starts.

Frozen items are protected against deletion until 10 years after the "last unit placed on the market" date recorded for the machine (no date recorded = kept without time limit). Deleting the organisation does not remove them before that date.

Limits: this continuity depends on Machiport (or a successor) operating the service. If we stop the service, we will give at least [notice period] notice and an export of all frozen items; availability beyond that is not promised. Keeping your own copy remains your legal obligation as manufacturer.
